Big Wet

The weather has been really crazy the past few days. After having a week of extreme heat sometime ago, we’re now experiencing a really bad bashing from Cyclone Oswald, which started last Saturday.

Thankfully, though, the power is still up and, so far, there is no damage to our home – unlike many people in the smaller towns in Northern Queensland, Brisbane and the coast.

This just reminds everyone of the not-so-distant floods of 2011, which destroyed a lot of properties in this part of the world. It’s so sad to know that just when you think the victims’ lives are returning back to normal, another tragedy hits them again. It is in moments like these when I am constantly reminded of how important it is to continually believe that God exists and that He is there to protect us and give us hope.

Still praying, though, that the weather improves soon.
