Toink!

Last night, we decided to try out Romano’s Macaroni Grill, a newly opened Italian restaurant in the Mall of Dhahran.

The place reminded me so much of Italianni’s in Manila. I love the homey interior of the place and the food was good too.

What is interesting, though, was a conversation I had with my daughter who I saw had her right index finger inside her nose. 😳

Me: Marga, stop picking your nose!

Marga: I’m not!

Me: What were you doing then?

Marga: Just cleaning it!

Toink! Silly me. Why didn’t I think of that?!

    • Hi Rob and Mandy! Thanks so much for the nice comment and for dropping by. Hope to see you again.

  2. we have romano’s macaroni grill in LA too. there was one close to where i lived. we always wondered how it was, but never had the chance to try because they closed down.

tsk, tsk, tsk…marga, “philosophizing” eh? or maybe she was trying to make a long distance call. 😉

    • Sayang, Rina. We saw this restaurant in Bahrain but snubbed it since there was no one eating there (and I found the name quite weird). But, since medyo limited ang food options namin here in the Kingdom, we decided to give it a shot. No regrets naman. In fact, I actually want to eat there again soon.

I think Marga was trying to call you up to say how she enjoyed drawing on Macaroni’s table – the restaurant uses a clean sheet of paper to cover their table and people can doodle on it while they wait for their orders to arrive – great idea, di ba?

  3. nice segwey with marga. LOL!!!

    • Hahaha…I know… how can you beat that answer, right?!

  4. […] if any of you get a chance to try out this place, we highly recommend the ensalata caprese (check this), artichoke and shrimp dip and the mushroom ravioli.  Hope these pictures are enough to inspire […]
