Al Areen Wildlife Park

Our Christmas (/Pinky’s Birthday) weekend was again spent in Bahrain this year.  However, aside from the usual food binging and window shopping, we also decided to visit the Al Areen Wildlife Park, which is situated close to the Bahrain International Circuit and Lost Paradise of Dilmun Water Park.

The park is relatively smaller in size compared to the other zoos that we have seen before. But, it was clean, well-maintained and, most importantly, the animals seemed to be well taken cared of (well, except for a wild dog which seemed anorexic).

The children definitely enjoyed seeing all the animals, which included (a variety of) Oryxes, Giraffes and Ostriches among others.  Pinky and I, on the other hand, enjoyed taking photographs of everyone and everything.

Here are some of the photos we took that day.  We hope you enjoy them.
