Fuz Mania

The past two days have been very hectic for me.  I just attended a two day seminar on the new Credit Policy of the Bank.  Needless to say, it was boring!

Anyway, just wanted to share with you our new found family activity.

The Ramadan season is quite a disappointment.  I thought that going on several hours without food or water was bad.  I was wrong.  The worst part of this time is the weird store hours. All the shops are closed most of the day.  There are a few which open from 9 am until noon. But regular store hours are from 8:30 pm up to the wee hours of the morning.  Grabe, useless lang na I get to go home at around 4pm since none of the shops are open!

We were fortunate though to have found a new family bonding activity… Fuz Balling…at McDo!  It was just by accident that we ended up eating in the Golden Arches of Al Khobar.  We were supposed to go to the grocery but, as expected, everything was closed! Grrr!

We went to the family eating section of McDo, which looked very awesome.  The ever famous red and yellow interior of McDo was nowhere to be found.  Instead they had a fancy and modern looking interior… ala Starbucks.  What was nice about this branch was that they have  a great play area, which included the usual colered tubes (which towered two storeys high), a few playstations and a Fuz Ball!

The boys were excited to play in the tubes … until they realized how high it was… duwag din pala eh!  Then they tried the Playstation.  But of all the things they did, it was the Fuz Ball that made their night.  Fuz Ball, by the way, is that rectangular table that looks like a soccer field with matching players inside that you had to control.

I decided to have a family competition.  It was intense.  The boys were very competitive.  No one wanted to lose.  I carried Marga on one arm while I tried to navigate and block the ball that was going to our goal. Gosh! It was very tiring.  Luigi cried since he wasn’t winning… see, really competitive, right?  But he later won a few games so that made him feel better.

We had to call it a night since it was getting late.  Even though we were unable to do our groceries, we had such a blast.  They boys are forcing me to go back to McDo so we can have another tournament.  My thought bubble of course was… “Sure anak! I like this… cheap fun!”

Until the next tournament.
