Day of Prayer

Pinky, Ton Martin and myself got a chance to speak with Daphne a few days back to discuss some items in our contract.  She is currently liasing with NCB regarding the issues.  Once addressed, we can finally sign the employment contract.

In the meantime, Pinky and I were fortunate to have been invited by our PL to join them in their annual year-end prayer time in Tagaytay last 30Dec05.  We went to Don Bosco’s Chapel on a Hill, where we were supposed to do the Labyrinth Walk.  Unfortunately, there was a scheduled wedding at the chapel and we couldn’t use the facilities.

Despite that, we still proceeded with our group and personal prayer time.  Pinky and I decided to pray as a couple.  Of course, our prayer intention was for God to re-confirm whether this move to KSA is what he actually wanted.  We looked at the reading for that day and was led to Ps128:1-4:

The Reward of Obedience to the Lord: Happy are those who obey the Lord, who live by his commands.  Your work will provide for your needs; you will be happy and prosperous.  Your wife will be like a fruitful vine in your home, and your children will be like young olives around your table.  A man who obeys the Lord will surely be blessed like this.

Pinky and I take this as a confirmation of God’s plan for our family.  He has opened this opportunity for us and we will follow him wherever he may lead us.  We don’t know what’s instored for us when we move to KSA but we remain faithful in God’s promise that he will protect all those who believe in Him.
